RhinoNest, nesting for Rhino

Optimize Position and Orientation of Objects

Hey everybody, I am finishing up a project for arch. school and am trying to nest some parts.  Its a series of biomorphic panels that are supposed to be cut out of standard 4x8 sheets of 3/4 inch plywood.  I keep getting various errors despite trying many different combinations of input.  From increase quality, memory errors, to external thrown objects?

can someone take a look at it and see what I may be doing wrong?

Hi Abe,

Thanks to ask about RhinoNest.

First of all, I recommend you check if there are open curves. To do a nesting we need to use at least one closed curve per group. You can use the tool to check curves.I found one, just closed before to do the nesting.

About the Quality, is the precision about the distance between objects. I recommend you use 10 in this case.

About the parameters, I defined a sheet of 1600x1200, and freedom of 90º in 30 second, and this is the result.

What is the memory error that you see? May you send me an snapshot?

Here the result.

Thanks and best regards,
