RhinoNest, nesting for Rhino

Optimize Position and Orientation of Objects

I'm trying to use dynamic tabs, then nest adding a quantity of 10 objects while nesting.

For some reason, I'm having trouble using the nest function for parts that have been tabbed.  It's more time consuming to tab the parts after nesting since there are lots more of them.

Am I doing something wrong?

Hi,

I think the problem is when you do the tabs before to do the nesting, your are splitting the curves, then all the curves are open, and we need closed curves to do the nesting.

If you want to do the tabs before to nesting please follow these steps:

1. Copy all the curves in other layer. Copy (Inplace)

2. Create the tabs using Dynamic Tabs

3. Group them. (RhinoNest will uses the biggest closed curve)

4. Do to nesting

5. Ungroup them and delete by layer the closed curves.

If you have any question, don't hesitate to contact me.

Thanks and best regards,
