RhinoNest, nesting for Rhino

Optimize Position and Orientation of Objects

Hey everyone

I've been looking for an answer on this but have so far had no luck. I'm wondering how best to do something like the number 8. This simple number has of course two inside cuts and the outside perimeter. I have made a block of this number (drawing comes from a AutoCAD file) and placed it in RhinoNest.

The problem occurs when I run the nest, all other parts work fine but this number 8 overlaps, allows for no gaps etc. The other blocks work fine.

I have tried it at various rotation allowances and times but the same still occurs. Is there a better process than the one I'm using?

I think I figured out a fix. I exploded the block and created a group. It then nested fine.
