RhinoNest, nesting for Rhino

Optimize Position and Orientation of Objects

In all of my list commands - list, list by layer, list by name - the prefix command does not seem to be functioning. It always says 'none' and doesn't allow me to turn it off or change it - i'm using version 2.0.0.2. Anyone have this problem and know of a fix?

Thanks!

Hi Glenn,

I think this is a bug of first versions. Now we are in 2.0.0.7. I recommend you upgrade your RhinoNest, please go to RhinoNest > Check Updates.

If you have any problem, don't hesitate to contact me.

Thanks and best regards,

Hi,

I was testing here and it works, maybe there is a problem in the file, but it is strange. Please may you try to use Dots? Is it possible you send me a file, in private if you want.

Thanks and sorry for the inconveniences.

Hi Rafael - sorry for the delayed response - still the same proble - even with dots. I've attached the file i'm using - to see if you can get it to work on your system.

Hi Glenn,

Here is working. To be sure, please download this file and overwrite it in your RhinoNest installation folder. By other hand, are you using the command List?

Thanks,

Rafael - This works well when i use the dots - and also works when I remap the objects to the cplane - everything works with the dots. However - when i try to use a single line text it doesn't work so well - Produces some random text - and doesn't remap cleanly. Not sure if you had the same issues?

I'm trying to set all the parts up for fabrication - and need to identify them - through laser etching the numbers - is there a way to use the dots to do this?

Thanks, g.
Rafael, any chance of getting this to work in V5?
thanks, ryan

I have this same problem with None being the suffix for each item I want to list. I generally use the list by layer command. But it is the same for list and list by name. I am using the latest version of RhinoNest 2.0.0.8.
Help please!
I still have this problem with RhinoNest 2.1. It is really annoying as I have to go through and delete the None from each item.
Hi Chris,

Sorry to ask you again. I'm trying to reproduce the problem using your file. What is exactly the command that you are using?

I was testing all the list, without the None prefix.

Thanks,

Hi Rafael, thanks for getting back to me.

All my layers are numbered 00, 01, 02 etc, but when I select the objects and use the command "listar" or "listar por capa" or "listar por nombre" they all have None as a prefix.
"Listar" results - None0, None1, None2 etc
"Listar por capa" results - None00, None01, None02 etc
"Listar por nombre" results - NoneNONAME.

It is always the same if I click on the icons or choose from the drop-down menu.
Hi,

Thanks a lot. I can not reproduce the problem, but I know what can be the problem.

We change some parts of the code, and now I think it will fixed.

I attach a file, please close Rhino and copy this file in c:\Program files\RhinoNest 2.1\.

Please let me know if it works fine.

Thanks and best regards,
