RhinoNest, nesting for Rhino

Optimize Position and Orientation of Objects

Hi everybody,

we got a license of RhinoNest 1.5 and are now trying out the 2.0 evaluation (2.0.0.2, 2010-01-11).
It looks very good and seems to be worth a new license, but up to now it crashed almost everytime I ran it.

I go through all the setting, hit execute and it starts. Then after some time (sometimes it finishes the first two sheets or so, sometimes not) Rhino simply crashes and closes without any notice. Looks like an unhandled exception to me.

I am running Vista and Rhino SR 7 and have set all the necessary folder permissions. Do you have any idea how this could be solved?

Thanks

Hanno

Hi Hanno,

Thanks for your comments. This crash is just with one file or is with all the files?

We use Vista and 7 and I don't think it will be problem. Let me ask to the developers.

Thanks,

Hi,

thanks for your very quick answers!
It worked fine on another machine with XP and the same Rhino version.
I have UAC activated on Vista, so maybe it is some compatibility problem. I did set the necessary folder permissions, though.

It does not happen every time, but most of the times, so I find it quite hard to draw conclusions from that.

Thanks anyway, I have to go on with something else now, but as soon as I find time to try it out some more I will try to find and post an example that reproduces the crash.

Hanno
