RhinoNest, nesting for Rhino

Optimize Position and Orientation of Objects

I hope I'm not asking something that is answered repetitively...

I am trying to nest a whole bunch of surfaces on a 3/4" plywood sheet for milling on a 3 axis mill. The model is similar to that sliced up head example on the RhinoDownload page, where they slice the head into a whole bunch of sections and then extract the curve and nest it on a sheet. However, I want to take the surface that lies between those two curves and lay it on the sheet as well, just under the contour lines that are nested.
Does anyone know, before I download this file, if when I nest all my parts, if I can bring the surface along with the curve??

Thanks!

Hi Ais,

Yes, we can! :) You must to group the curve and the surface (or solids,...) and do the nesting.

If you have any doubt, don't hesitate to contact me.
