The furniture was developed at AA Visiting School Workshop in Sao Paulo in 2011 as a form of intervention in the Avenida Paulista. One of the main avenues of São Paulo, Avenida Paulista has a large diurnal pedestrian traffic, but lacks places where citizens can sit, simply rest, a chat or read a newspaper without having to go into a café or bar.
